For the treatment of urethral stricture/urethral stenosis with MukoCell, oral mucosal cells are removed from the patient during an outpatient procedure. With these patient’s own cells, the MukoCell graft is produced in our clean room laboratory within 3 weeks and made available to the treating clinic for transplantation. Depending on the length of the patient’s urethral stricture, any number of MukoCell grafts can be produced within the 3 weeks.

The transplantation date is coordinated between the physician and the patient when the mucosal cells are collected and cannot be postponed.
